We have utilized Origin’s expertise since just after OUC went into production with PSERM in 2007. We engaged with them to work with our business areas after go-live; there were a number of application and business process issues that needed attention. Origin organized a cross-departmental initiative and led the OUC business and IT team to resolve the issues, and to coordinate each resolution through the OUC User Acceptance process to ensure that the end result met both the business objectives and the quality standards set by IT.
Origin has supported OUC as we improve our business processes and the use of PSERM. While we depend on Oracle for core product support, Origin has filled the gap for support on our custom algorithms. We send our development work to Origin’s back office operation in the Philippines.
So far, we are very pleased with the results, and in August 2009, we renewed our relationship with Origin for another three year term. Origin has proven that they understand OUC’s business challenges and solve them with tools and processes that are easy to understand and implement for our business users and IT group.

SMECO has been working with Origin for the past two years. Their team has provided support on several initiatives; we are impressed with their CC&B expertise and support.
Origin worked with us on a number of CC&B functional enhancements last year. They collaborated well with our business areas to understand the problems and handled all of the interaction with IT to ensure a smooth delivery into production. We had good experience with their team, both in the US and in the Philippines, where the development work was performed. Early this year, they introduced a Revenue Assurance program to SMECO. This software performed a number of audits against the CC&B tables to assure or billing department that all customers were receiving bills accurately and timely. This went well and Origin continues to use the software periodically to ensure we are doing well in this area.
This year, they are working with SMECO management and Oracle to upgrade and test CC&B from versions 1.5.20 to 2.2. We plan to go live on this initiative. Origin has been a strong partner with SMECO and we are glad that we engaged them for this level of support.

We engaged Origin in the spring of 2007. Capgemini wanted to move application development and production support for Oracle’s CC&B from Oracle’s development center in the Philippines to Capgemini’s center in Bangalore, India.
Origin proved to be a viable partner in this migration. They developed a curriculum to train our staff in India and spent three months in Bangalore training, piloting, and converting the support function. The initiative was successful, completed according to the original schedule and under budget.
Afterwards, Capgemini granted Origin a Tier 1 support contract for CC&B until our client converted to another product in July 2009. Origin was our first stop for Tier 1 production issues from January 2008 till then.
