JOB DESCRIPTION

Responsible for developing practical and creative solutions that solve business problems or requirements that span the meter to cash landscape for clients. Must be able to facilitate workshops with multiple levels of client management and subject matter experts to deliver a clear specification of the customer’s business requirements and a business justified solution.  Create and communicate implementable and cost-effective designs to client personnel and executives while relaying value added benefits and associated Return on Investment (ROI). Capable of providing leadership, guidance, and recommendations that help clients solve for both short term and longer-term business needs.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Able to apply professional mastery and industry-wide understanding of business domain area, technology, tools and methodologies to develop solutions in leading edge or critical situations

  • Understands current product technologies and future industry and information technology trends and apply them appropriately in formulating solutions for clients

  • Analyzes software requirements, defines solution parameters and specifications

  • Negotiates and manages functional scope to reduce business and technical risks for both client and Origin

  • Knows and understands Software Development Life-cycle

  • Ability to assess existing client challenges/opportunities and present additional Origin service offerings to client(s) when applicable

  • Ability to review and understand multiple designs and ensure formation of creative and cohesive solution

  • Manages fact-finding, analysis and development related activities of projects

  • Assesses business and technical impacts of solution

  • Superior ability to understand, articulate and address business issues, business drivers and needs

  • Able to plan and facilitate design workshops Including the ability to influence key stakeholder group in/outside sessions on design proposals

  • Able to conceptualize a solution of significant scope, across multiple business processes

  • Able to manage the client’s expectations so that resultant system meets budget and time constraints

SOLUTION AND BUSINESS DOMAIN EXPERIENCE

  • At least 4 years of implementation, support or end user experience with Oracle Utilities Customer Care and Billing (CC&B) v2.4 or higher

  • Deep business understanding of the value, benefits, and functional capabilities of Customer Information System (CIS) solutions as part of overall Meter-to-Cash business processes

  • Experience working with Meter-to-Cash business processes

  • Business change management/transformation experience in supporting Utility transition from legacy CIS solutions to Oracle Utilities CC&B and other related Edge products (e.g. Oracle’s MDM)

  • Experience with projects involving integration of Oracle Utilities CC&B and other related Edge products with other utilities enterprise applications and customer facing initiatives (e.g. Oracle Utilities Customer Self Service, Oracle Utilities Field Work Management, etc.)

  • Preferred but not required experience working with Oracle Utilities Application Framework (OUAF) and general understanding of design and development principles

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • May mentor junior project team members including both client and other Origin employees

  • May be responsible for leading work stream as part of larger multi-product solution implementation

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

  • Four-year college or university degree; or

  • 2 – 4 years related experience and/or training; or

  • Equivalent combination of education and experience

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, OR REGISTRATIONS

  • Oracle Utilities Implementation Certification for one or multiple products is preferred

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must be able to travel up to 75% of the time or as required
