JOB DESCRIPTION

Responsible for developing high quality designs by recommending solutions and strategies based on the analysis of the client’s business requirements and existing system’s infrastructure. Must be able to use business process engineering techniques to develop solutions and execute to achieve overall objectives by means of implementing systems or enterprise wide solutions using Oracle Utilities Customer Care and Billing (CC&B) solutions.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Working with the Project Manager and Architect to develop a budget for the detailed design effort providing high-level estimations for design, development and testing of design solutions

  • Converting customer requirements into quality solutions; owns the detailed design and provides support throughout the development and system test phases

  • Recording and publishing detailed minutes of discovery sessions

  • Understanding of and documents business processes

  • Utilizing existing resources to produce detailed designs

  • Writing pseudo code for complex logic without writing the detailed code

  • Identifying changes in scope expansion and manages customer expectations of scope

  • Ability to assess existing client challenges and/or opportunities and present additional services offerings to client where applicable

  • Ability to communicate effectively and build rapport with the client and team members

  • Ability to plan system testing and execute as required by the resource skills mix on a project

  • Must be able to produce quality deliverables on time and within budget

  • Stay abreast of trends both to technology and business drivers

SOLUTION AND BUSINESS DOMAIN EXPERIENCE

  • At least 5 years of design and development experience with Oracle Utilities Customer Care and Billing (CC&B) products and services

  • Experience working with and understanding of Oracle Utilities CC&B data model (the V, Meters, Bills, Payments, etc.) and data modeling principles

  • Experience working with and understanding of Software Development Life-cycle as well as Agile Methodologies

  • Testing experience with Oracle Utilities CC&B applications

  • Oracle Utilities development experience using Java, Configuration Tools and SQL

  • Desired, but not required:

    • Experience working with Oracle Utilities Meter Data Management and direct integration knowledge to Oracle Utilities CC&B

    • Integration experience with Oracle Utilities CC&B solution to Oracle Utilities Mobile Workforce Management and Oracle Utilities Work and Asset Management

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, OR REGISTRATIONS

  • Oracle Utilities Implementation Certification for one or multiple products is a plus

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS

  • Ability to travel as needed
